Kovvali was a popular novelist of Telugu language in the early 20th century. He is one of the most prolific writer of modern Telugu language. His full name is Kovvali Lakshmi Narasimha Rao (1912–1975), born in Tanuku. According to some sources, Kovvali has written over 1000 Novels, which is a record not surpassed by any Telugu writer till now. These novels were extremely popular with the public and known as “Railway Literature”.
