Syed Shah Ataur Rahman popularly known as Ata Kakwi was an Indian poet and writer. He was a contemporary of Wali Azimabadi, Akhtar Qadri, Azizuddin Balkhi and Fasihuddin Balkhi. He served as the head of the Department of Persian at Patna University.
